Pletcher is running for Marin County District Attorney

MARIN COUNTY, CA – February 1, 2017 – Marin County District Attorney Candidate Anna Pletcher today reported that her campaign raised $35,085.74. Pletcher has also racked up a list of key local endorsements, including Marin County District 3 Supervisor Kate Sears, Mill Valley Mayor Jessica Jackson Sloan, and city council members from across the county.

“I am humbled by the outpouring of support and generosity at this early phase of the campaign,” Pletcher said. “With the current state of our national politics, local leadership is critically important. As District Attorney, I would be honored to fight for safety and justice in Marin.”

Current District Attorney Edward Berberian has announced that he will not be seeking reelection, setting up the first contested election since 1998. Pletcher is the first to officially enter the race. If elected, she would be the first Latina and second woman to serve Marin County as District Attorney.

The campaign finance report was filed yesterday with the office of the Marin County Clerk. Pletcher’s full list of endorsements can be found on her website annapletcher.com.
